Castle’s K-9, Inc. was established in 1972 and was incorporated in 1982. We are located 20 miles southeast of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, a short distance off the Pennsylvania Turnpike, Route 15 and Interstate 81.
In 1994, we expanded our indoor K9 training facilities by adding a new educational building. Heeding to the requests of officers for s uperior K9 equipment, vehicle components and other K9 gear, K9 Guardian was formed in 1998 by A.W. Castle, III and Franco Angelini. In late 2002, the need for expansion came once again and we added a new two-story detection building. Our staff includes five master trainers and four trainers with over 80 years of handling and training experience. Along with our nationally recognized certification, Castle’s K-9 is one of the largest and most reputable police canine training agencies in the United States. Since 1972, we have worked with over 2,000 dogs. They are responsible for the seizure of more than $950,000,000 in narcotics, cash and property. We import most of our canines from Europe; our trainers handpick the canines for the specific needs of each department.
All phases of canine specialty work -- patrol, narcotics detection, explosives detection and cadaver detection -- are taught by the trainers at Castle's K-9. K9 Guardian offers a full line of police K9 vehicle cage inserts and working and sporting dog training equipment, all designed to be strong and reliable. All this is with more than 32 years of active police canine training and handling experience.
